| Dear
Well I hope no one is having flooding problems with the weather were having know. From -30 last week to +7 today that is a lot to take. I really hate to see the snow go like this so early. So many businesses rely on the snow for their business just like we look forward to perfect weather in May as it means so much to gardeners. It's great to get another email out to you, it's been awhile. As things start rolling here we will continue to keep you informed with what's new and exciting. We have several plans for expanded retail space for the spring. I'm sure your going to like it. Have a look below to see which time would work best for you for the Victorian Basket and Planter Workshops. We have new and improved plans to make sure your baskets are as big as they can be by the beginning of May. We look forward to seeing you this spring and as always appreciate you business.
Take care, Rob Gemmell

How are you all surviving this winter of both environmental and economic storms? I am sure we are all looking forward to a breath of fresh air this spring. Despite the past months subzero temperatures and now a thaw, we are toasty warm here in the green house planting up all our new and fabulous plants for the 2009 season. There are a lot of interesting new varieties of annuals and perennials for all of you gardening junkies out there. Everyone here has their own personal favourite which has caused much a heated discussion over what will be the most popular with our avid gardeners. We will be sending out more detailed information with descriptions of these exciting new varieties as the season draws nearer. |

We have also begun the yearly task of setting up the store for spring with our most exciting arrival being the seed racks for 2009!!! Lots of new and interesting choices for vegetables, annuals and perennials including all of your old favourites. With the downturn in the economy many forecasters within the industry have predicted a growth in the numbers of people actually growing their own vegetables this year. This trend not only is easier on the wallet but it also supports the popular eco movement of the 100 Mile Diet. |
| Workshops |
|
We have had many phone calls in the past few weeks from anxious gardeners asking when our Victorian Hanging Basket workshops will be held this year. We will be holding workshops on the following dates; Saturday March 7 9:30-11:30am Sunday March 8 1:00-3:00pm Saturday March 14 9:30-11:30am Come get your hands in the dirt! Learn the fundamentals of creating your own custom planted Hanging Basket. We'll then take care of your creation here in the greenhouse until spring. This year you should know that we have reserved a better growing space for your baskets to make sure they are as beautiful as they can be. The earlier you plant them the further ahead they will be in May. Includes instruction and care, soil, and 9 plants. Bring your own container or purchase one for as little as $4.99 Cost $30/session. We are looking forward to the 2009 season with much excitement and anticipation and can't wait to see you all again!
