Meet the New TRITIUM Duo™ Family

TriQuint unveiled the industry's smallest dual-band PA duplexers for global 3G and 4G smartphones.  The new TRITIUM Duo™ family combines two band-specific power amplifiers and duplexers in a single compact module, replacing up to twelve discrete components.  Leveraging TriQuint's broad technology portfolio, the new products integrate two commonly used bands in one small footprint, simplifying RF front-end design, while increasing flexibility and performance.

QUANTUM Tx™ Modules Integrate New Ultra-Small GSM Core
TriQuint's two QUANTUM Tx™ transmit modules integrate our new ultra-small GSM core to achieve cost and size breakthroughs without compromising performance.   Forty percent smaller than the previous generation, these modules pair with TriQuint's new TRITIUM Duo™ family of dual-band power amplifier duplexers to create the industry's smallest, high-performance RF solution for global 3G / 4G wireless devices.

Integrated DVGAs Can Shrink RF BOMs

TriQuint introduced two new digital variable gain amplifiers (DVGAs) that can reduce BOMs while providing automatic gain control for 3G / 4G base stations, repeaters and similar applications.  The TQM829007 (600-1000 MHz) and the TQM879008 (1.5-2.7 GHz) modules include gain blocks, a highly-linear amplifier, matching components, bias chokes, blocking capacitors, and a digitally-controlled, 6-bit variable gain attenuator.  Contact product marketing or sales for samples and evaluation boards.

New RF SAWs Deliver Excellent Power Handling

TriQuint has released three new innovative RF SAW filters that offer excellent power handling, low insertion loss and high attenuation for WCDMA, LTE and other key 3G / 4G frequencies.  The filters target bands 3, 5e, 13 and 14. Each filter, in a 3x3mm hermetic ceramic package, provides 50 ohm, single-ended operation; no matching is required.  "We support worldwide 3G and 4G base station filter requirements with solutions that can simplify the RF design and connectivity process," noted Brian P. Balut, VP, Networks. Contact TriQuint for samples and evaluation fixtures.

TriQuint Powers Linearized 3G / 4G Small Cell Solution TriQuint and Scintera have developed a design-ready, high-efficiency solution to power 'small cell' 3G / 4G / LTE base stations.  Network operators see small cell base stations as a cost-effective remedy for capacity constraints and a means to enable 4G / LTE data rates.  The new solution is the first to use a 12V power supply.  TriQuint amplifiers deliver 2W (33dBm) of linear output power, supporting single or multiple carriers with 20 MHz of total signal bandwidth.  "This innovation leverages market-tested solutions to simplify RF connectivity.  The TriQuint amplifiers are very broadband, so two devices can support all cellular frequencies," said Brian P. Balut, VP, Networks.  Contact TriQuint for design-ready, small cell base station RF solutions.  View Publication of Linearized PA Solution for 3G / 4G Small Cell BTS (PDF Format)

New Cost-Effective BTS RFIC Solutions

TriQuint has added a new member to its family of high-efficiency Darlington-pair cascadable gain block amplifiers that deliver cost-effective, broadband solutions for BTS, repeater, CATV, SATV and defense / aerospace applications.  Internally matched, these 50 ohm devices offer a choice of 15 or 20dB gain and 29dBm OIP3 (DC-6 GHz); current consumption is low.  The new TQP369185 also provides very robust Class 1C HBM ESD performance.  Contact TriQuint Sales for additional product details.

TriQuint Modulator Drivers Offer Best Performance

TriQuint showcased its 32 Gb/s SMT differential modulator driver, the TGA4959-SL, with other standard-setting solutions for 10, 40 and 100 Gb/s optical networks at the 2012 OFC / NFOEC event in Los Angeles.  The TGA4959-SL was recently awarded a 2012 RF Product of the Year Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) award by Global Sources, the parent company of EE Times China.  The award recognizes products that deliver time, cost and space-saving benefits.  Contact product marketing for details about TriQuint's complete line of high-performance optical solutions.

New CATV Solutions Cut BOMs

TriQuint released two new innovative TriAccess™ amplifiers at the 2012 CCBN cable TV and broadband conference in Beijing that are designed to reduce BOMs in CATV systems. TriQuint's new TAT8858 cable infrastructure amplifier is so flexible it can operate in 'green' efficiency mode in either 12V or 24V systems.  The TAT2814A satisfies the DOCSIS ® 3.0 specification for FTTH / RFoG applications with more than 4dB margin, supporting '3-into-1' strategies while making it ideal for CMTS, Edge QAM and EOC design approaches.  Contact TriQuint for more information.
