TriQuint reported a strong second quarter (April 1 - June 30) of 2008 with revenues of $127.0 million.  Ralph Quinsey, President and CEO, stated "TriQuint is on track for achieving our product development and design win targets for the year with each of our markets generating strong order activity and a strong book to bill ratio of 1.29...I expect the second half of 2008 to be a solid growth period for TriQuint."   Q3 earnings will be issued October 22 at 1pm Pacific. 

TriQuint was recognized by Northrop Grumman Corporation Electronic Systems (NGES) in July with two awards.  The first lauded bulk acoustic wave (BAW) innovation.  TriQuint also received a Strategic Supplier Award and was the only company of 32 honored with two awards.  "We're extremely proud," remarked Dr. Gailon Brehm, TriQuint Military Products Marketing Director.  "Our BAW program leads the industry and as newly-named 'Strategic Supplier,' TriQuint will continue serving this important customer with the latest RF power and acoustic filter devices." 

Strategy Analytics issued its annual study of the RF industry, which experienced 17% year on year growth.  TriQuint is the world's largest GaAs foundry and one of three top RF Device suppliers.  Strategy Analytics said TriQuint's overall success is centered upon "strong positions in diverse end markets, a strategy that in some cases is only starting to be emulated by the company's competitors."

A newly designed triquint.com launched this quarter.  The new site offers easier navigation and features, such as the Technical Library and News & Discoveries special-interest stories.  We plan to release a parametric search tool in Q4.

TriQuint received the Seattle Times "Northwest 100" award for 2008.  The award recognizes the top 100 publicly held companies in the Pacific Northwest by measuring four dimensions of performance over the previous two fiscal years.  According to the Seattle Times, to come out on top, a company has to do well on all four factors.
