June Open Networking Meeting

  

The Challenges and Possibilities of Urban Rooftop Farming

 

Join us as we venture out to Long Island City, Queens to take a tour of The Brooklyn Grange, a commercial organic rooftop farm that produces vegetables for restaurants and markets all over the city. After the tour, a panel of expert speakers, including City Council Member Gale Brewer, structural engineer Daniel Sesil, Brooklyn Grange farmers, and others, will discuss the opportunities for and constraints to urban rooftop farming in New York City.

Early Summer Strawberry Social for FSNYC


StrawberriesEnjoy an evening of delicious berry fun at our Strawberry Social fundraiser on Wednesday, June 29, at 6:00pm at the 9th and C community garden in Manhattan. Local drinks, farm-fresh desserts, sunshine, and good cheer are guaranteed to make this celebration with a cause fun for everyone. Purchase tickets in advance, members receive a $10 discount.
