The Flu Pandemic Hits Home
|
Like most people, when I heard about the "swine" flu and all the dire warnings from the media I was skeptical. It wasn't until my kids got a notice from their school district about taking a 2nd "spring break" that the seriousness of a flu pandemic actually hit home.
Luckily this particular strain of the virus is not turning out to be nearly as lethal as was first believed. However, this does not mean we are out of the woods just yet. There are still serious concerns about new strains of the virus popping up this fall. And there is always the possibility of a new, more lethal, flu emerging at any time.
Gannett Education recognizes the critical role nurses play in responding to a true flu pandemic. That is why we worked so hard and so fast to publish our newest CE course "Are You Prepared for a H1N1 (Swine) Flu Pandemic?". Log on the CE Direct system today to learn how you can be better prepared to help with our current crisis and perhaps a more serious pandemic in the future.

As part of our on-going efforts to equip and train our CE Direct learners we are soliciting your ideas and questions for upcoming "Learner Roundtable Sessions". We plan to schedule a few live webinar sessions where you can join us to ask questions about our courses, the CE Direct system, the PearlsReview test prep content, or any other topic related to healthcare education.
To make these sessions as helpful as possible we need your suggestions, ideas, questions, etc. Please click the link below and email me your thoughts and suggestions. Then, look in your next e-newsletter for the specific times and dates we will hold the sessions.
Thanks so much for your help!
