Marist Young Adult Program
 May-June 2012

Dear Marist Young Adults,Chair

Summer is finally here!  Whether you are in the work force or in school, the lazy days of summer give us all some time to re-energize.

Looking back over the last academic year, I am energized by all that the Marist Young Adult Program has accomplished with its online and in-person activities.  The most recent accomplishments are highlighted below.

I am also energized by the promise of the year ahead.  We have already had 150 recent high school graduates join our facebook group. The regional chairs are planning some exciting summer activities and thinking ahead to the fall.  And we anticipate the launch of our new mobile app. shortly.

Be assured of the prayers and support of our  Marist family during these summer days and, as always, if you have a suggestion or an idea for an event, please feel free to contact me at Matt@MaristYoungAdult.com.

Peace,

Matt Fallon

How did you get involved with Marist?
I got involved in the Marist community through the campus ministry department at Central Catholic High School.  I went to the Marist Youth Leadership Conference during my junior year and was a Marist Youth core member at Central during my senior year.

Why are you still involved with Marist community?
I'm still inolved in Marist because it was something that changed my life.  It opened my eyes to so many different things and it is something that means  a lot to me.  I've made some of my best friends through the Marist community and have served the least favored in many different ways.  I want to continue to help others and to make new friends who share my beliefs.

How do you live out your Marist identity today?
I think the way I live out my Marist identity today is by spreading the word.  I tell people about Marist Youth and how it helped me to become who I am  today.
