Trafficking

Human trafficking is a modern day form of slavery in which men, women and children are forced, coerced or scammed into work or sexual exploitation.  But how much do you really know about human trafficking and what you can do about it?  The Collabortive Initiative to End Human Trafficking offers "Trafficking 101" to provide a basic overview of the probelem.  In addition, the site offers thirty-four suggestions of what you can do to combat human trafficking.  To access the site, click on the icon above.  For more information on human trafficking, visit the site for the US Department of Health and Human Service by clicking below.

Dear Marist Young Adults,

This summer I had the opportunity to gather with over thirty young adults in Chicago for a barbecue at the Marist Brothers' house in Blue Island. It was great to see and meet so many of you! We had great food - thanks to Br. Pat McNamara's skills on the grill! We played some games, and had the opportunity to talk and catch up with some old friends. It was a great night!

In Miami, NY/NJ, and Massachusetts we have offered barbecues and gatherings during the past few months. Thanks to those who organized these events and thanks to those who attended. Check out the pictures from these events in the photo albums on our website. I hope that those of you who could not attend one of these events will take advantage of other opportunities throughout the year to get involved and reconnect with our Marist family!

Good luck to those of you who are preparing for college this year! Know that you have the prayerful support of fellow Marist Young Adults throughout the country!

As always, if you have any comments, questions, or ideas please email me at Matt@MaristYoungAdult.com.

I hope to see you at a future event or connect with you through one of the online programs this year!

Peace,

Matt Fallon

Marist Young Adult Advisory Committee Chair
