 "RETREAT WITHIN A RETREAT"
                                                                     JWow Retreat
Young Adult staff members at the February "Marist Youth Encounter Christ" program participated in a "Retreat within a Retreat".  Using scripture, the young adults were invited to reflect upon their experiences, to explore ways of being Christ for one another, and to look at their role in bringing Christ forth in the encounterites.  The participants were offered input and reflection questions each morning and gathered for shared prayer each night.

How did you get involved with Marist?
I first became involved with Marist when I attended Marist Youth as a sophomore in high school. I learned a great deal about Marist spirituality on this trip and began living my life by the Marist vision.

Why are you still involved with Marist?
I'm still involved with Marist because I believe that the Marist Brothers have a great foundation and spirituality. Being involved with Marist can be a physical commitment or a lifestyle commitment, so it is fairly easy for anyone to live each day by the Marist principles.

How do you live out your Marist identity now?

I continue to live out my Marist identity by continuing to do the little things. I keep my faith alive by going to mass every Sunday and I make Jesus known and loved by doing community service and by simply trying my utmost to be the Christ in my family and friends' lives.
