 CHATS, TWEETS AND BLOGS
                                                                     Roland's Blog
There has been a lot of communicating going on among Marist Young Adults!  During the months of September and October four chats were held to help first year college students to acheive academic, social and spiritual balance. In addition to the chats, Boston University freshman Danny Bradley continues to share his first year experiences through his blog and on twitter (dannyhbradley).  Former Young Adult Evangelization Community member and current teacher at Marist High School in Chicago, Roland Varriale, has begun to blog about his experience.  Lastly, the Marist Young Adult Program hosted a chat about the movie "District 9" to look at prejudice, stereotypes and what makes one human.

 RETREAT WITHIN A RETREAT
                                                                     ReRe
Young Adult staff members at the October "Marist Youth Encounter Christ" program participated in a "Retreat within a Retreat."  Using scripture, the young adults were invited to reflect upon their experiences, to explore ways of being Christ for one another, and to look at their role in bringing Christ forth in the encounterites.  The participants were offered input and reflection questions each morning and gathered for shared prayer each night.

How did you get involved with Marist?
I became involved with the Marist community when I became a L.I.F.E. leader at Christopher Columbus High School

Why are you still involved with Marist?
I am still involved in Marist because I would like to continue learning and teaching the Marist way. I would like to continue making Jesus known and loved.

How do you live out your Marist identity now?
I live out my Marist identity by being a young Catholic and by continuing to make Jesus known and loved among my friends and the people I meet.

Do you have a Marist story to share?
Being a Marist has brought me closer to God. I feel that becoming a Marist and being a L.I.F.E. leader has made me a better person.
