MEET
YA ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBER - DAN HERNANDEZ |
Dan Hernandez Junior at Boston College Graduate of Marist High School (Bayonne, NJ)
How did you get involved with Marist?
Besides choosing to go to a Marist high school, I got involved with Marist through working with one of the Brothers at my high school, Bro. Bob Warren. He urged me to get involved with Marist through retreats, service, sports, etc. The first time I felt really involved with Marist was in May 2003 when I attended the Marist Youth conference in Poughkeepsie, NY. There I really got to learn what being Marist was all about. Why are you still involved with Marist?
Marist is definitely an integral part of my life. The Marist morals and values have allowed me to grow into the person I am today. I constantly try to connect with the Marist family through retreats, youth gatherings and the Marist Young Adult program. How do you live out your Marist identity now?
I live out my Marist identity by keeping prayer and love in my life. I believe that besides food, water, and air, prayer and love are all that you need to survive. | |
