Snow!
While I am not a fan of cold weather, I do love a good snowstorm.  This last weekend's storm was about as perfect as they come: big, fluffy flakes falling at a furious rate!  I couldn't wait to go out for a run and listen to that peaceful, silent sound that snow makes when it falls.  A sound interrupted only by the rhythmic crunch of my footsteps and the laughter of kids (of all ages) playing.

Snow is a feast for the senses - sight, sound, smell, touch and taste.  By taste, I don't just mean snowflakes melting on your tongue.  No, I'm talking something better.  I'm talking Snow Ice Cream!  With all due respect, Ben & Jerry have nothing on my grandma's recipe for this tasty treat.  It's the perfect ending to a snowday (especially when topped with chocolate sauce).  You can't help but smile when you eat it!

My gift to you this holiday season, in addition to warm wishes for a wonderful holiday, is my grandma's recipe.  I hope it becomes a fun snowday tradition for your family too.

Snow Ice Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
1-2 teaspoons vanilla (I like lots of vanilla)
1/3 cup sugar
6-7 cups fresh, clean snow

Whip the cream with a mixer until soft peaks form.  Fold in the vanilla, sugar and snow until blended.  Freeze until firm and enjoy.  Tastes best when eaten on the same day it is made.

Also, I want to thank you for choosing Fleet Feet Sports this year.  Your support of the store, especially during these challenging times, has touched my heart.  You make our day when you let us share our expertise to FIT you for the perfect pair of shoes or apparel so you can live fit.  I hope to see you in the new year at one of our fun runs, track workouts, seminars, training programs or when it's time to treat your feet to comfy new kicks.

Live Fit,
Steph
