The U.S. Supreme Court Hearts Arguments
in Healthcare Law Challenge
Good afternoon: As you are probably aware, the United States Supreme Court is currently hearing arguments about the constitutionality of and other issues pertaining to the new healthcare law. The lawsuit, brought about by a contingent of 26 states, led by Florida and including the National Federation of Independent Business. (Florida v. U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services). The Court is hearing approximately six hours of oral arguments over a three-day period, starting last Monday, March 26 and concluding today, March 28, 2012. The Court is expected to deliver its ruling in June - July 2012. In the meantime, it is "business as usual" until the Supreme Court delivers its ruling. We will continue to monitor any developments in this lawsuit (and others) and bring you any relevant news when it is available. Regards, Ken
