March 2009
Greetings!

Welcome to the first edition of our fancy-schmancy ClientCall!  We hope you find our new format appealing and easy to read.  The ClientCall is still available as a Word or .pdf file, so please feel free to let us know what you prefer.

After months of research, trial and error testing and dart-throwing, we chose ConstantContact.com to help us create our newsletter.  ConstantContact offers email marketing and online survey tools specifically targeted for small businesses and organizations.  The email and survey tools are cost-effective (as little as $15/month) and supported by coaches via email and chat sessions.

Of course, a newsletter is only effective if all of you guys actually read our monthly opus (if you only knew the hours we spend, slaving over a hot computer into the wee hours of the night... you might shed a tear).  Well, now we have ways of finding out if you actually opened the ClientCall, clicked on any of the links and more ... yes, ConstantContact offers Reports!  Of course, if you're just hitting the "delete" button every month, this could seriously affect our employment status.  (No problem, we just won't give Ken the password  : )

So, why are we up at 1AM, typing a newsletter?  Like you, we care about our customers and want to keep you informed, amused and ... well, keep you.  No one has to tell you that our economy is going through a difficult phase (how is that for a euphemism?) and that keeping in touch with our customer base is vital to maintaining strong business relationships.  Newsletters, email blasts and faxes to customers keep the company's brand name "top of mind," let them know that we value their business, are interested in their needs and seek better ways to serve them.  We feel that way about our clients and we're sure you do, too.

This is the time when we need to tighten our belts and use our ingenuity to find ways to strengthen and grow our businesses.  There are great tools designed for small companies that give them the ability to reach their target customer, as well as streamline office expenses by using web-based applications.  For example, you can stop paying a monthly rental on the stamp machine and go to Stamps.com, download their software (or order a CD) and print your postage from your computer.  It's simple, inexpensive and doesn't special equipment.  Please see InternetIntel for more details.

Ken and our agency staff are committed to helping you administer your employee benefits, as well as making sure that your coverage plans are the best fit for your company. However, we feel that our business relationship is more than just processing forms and sending pamphlets; we also hope that you think of us as a resource. This month, our BulletinBoard highlights a resume-writing comparison site.  Even if you are securely employed, it's a good idea to keep the CV polished and up to date.

We're also here to help you with the COBRA subsidy provisions of the economic stimulus plan, as well as other recent changes in benefits and coverage.  If you need forms, supplies or have any questions at all, we're that resource we just mentioned.  Email, fax, call or holler real loud and we're at your service.
BTW, the new ClientCall is a work in progress and we'd love to get your feedback!

Desperation Isn't Referable
By Ivan Misner   |   February 04, 2009

...If you nurture an abundance mentality rather than a scarcity mentality, you'll realize there's plenty of business out there for you and many other chiropractors. There's also a way you can compete and, at the same time, collaborate with another vendor... click here for the full article: Desperation isn't Referable
