Federal Furnace Elementary News

FFES Community of Learners

We are off to a great start at Federal Furnace. We would like to thank all the hard working staff who have helped to make our building and classrooms look wonderful, and who have helped us begin to get acclimated to new classrooms and teachers. We would also like to thank all the parent volunteers who have helped in many ways. In particular, our PTA Officers who helped with arrival on the first day of school and with the kindergarten visits: Mrs. Dearing, Mrs. Cohane and Mrs. Sherman. Also, we don't know what we'd do without Mrs. Daly who helps us with our laminating! Finally, we'd like to thank some of our students who raised money for our school over the summer by having a lemonade stand. They raised $67.75. Thank you to Jack Arnold, Olivia Arnold, Andrew Hogan & Ethan Hogan.

Manomet Elementary News

Manomet School is celebrating its 60th anniversary on the Manomet Point Road site during the 2012-2013 school year! Several things are in the works to help commemorate this special anniversary. Head Custodian, Chet Flattery, has put together a lobby display of some photographs and items from the past to highlight some of Manomet School's history. Later this Fall, several alumni will be joining us for a special assembly, as well as to be guest readers in classrooms. The antique windvane that has been down from the school cuppola since the renovation in the 1990s has been restored, and will soon be remounted.
