Weekly Quote: "One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child." More Manomet Elementary News!
Manomet Elementary School recently held the annual Art Show under the direction of art teacher Marsha Hanby. The parents, students and staff were invited to come and see the myriad of art and craft projects that the children have created this school year.
The overarching theme of this year's Art Show was DREAM. Dreamers of the 60's were featured, such as the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President John F. Kennedy, Bill Russell, Neil Armstrong, the Beatles, etc. Each had a dream, much like the one our school superintendent, Dr. Gary Maestas, will undertake next month on his DREAMRIDE from Washington D.C. to Plymouth, to raise money for Plymouth's children!

Mielle Glaude and Michaela Coombs enter the cafeteria via a shark's mouth!

A Yellow Submarine and the Beatles added to the festive atmosphere.

Morgan Costa and Gabrielle MacDonald check out the maracas made by Mrs. Sue Furman's second grade class.

Domenic Antonellis and Juliette Blake enjoy the various works that were displayed throughout the school.

Julie Porter's 4th graders created and painted President John F. Kennedy; a dreamer of the 60's.
