Tok Tok - News from the Islands
There Once Was An Island                                                  09 July 2010
Greetings!

I was watching the news on TV this morning when I saw an interview with the person who made this documentary - There Once Was An Island.
Video called There Once was An Island

I highly recommend
you click on the image at left
to watch the 5 minute trailer
on YouTube.
It provides an excellent insight into life on the many small and remote Pacific Islands. And whatever you might think about Climate Change, the video captures the fear and hopelessness many Island people are feeling. Especially about the future for their young people.

I'm also keen to get your opinion after watching this.
Please let me know what you think and I'll answer you as soon as I can.

Climate Change, Cyclones, Tsunamis . . .
The result's the same for the South Pacific people

I'm now finishing the July Newsletter which highlights the devastating effects of cyclones on these low-lying Islands, and the importance of keeping our radio stations on the air during these storms to bring hope and help in times of times of stress and chaos.
