Greetings!

Recently I spent a few days in Tonga.
I needed to show Charlie Ratu (our leadership intern from Gud Nius Redio, Solomon Islands) what the ministry is like in Tonga.
And, after hearing so many stories about the dramatic ways God is touching lives in the Island kingdom, I couldn't wait to see for myself!
In This TokTok
Bibles for new believers
An exciting visit to Tonga
3 short testimonies tell it all
It's because of your support

We gave away some 'Easy English' Bibles in Tonga
How can we grow if we don't obey God?
And how can we obey if we don't understand what He's telling us in the Bible?

One man we gave a Bible to wrote to me "thanks for the great Bible you gave. I have been telling everyone how I have become addicted to this Bible as it is so easy for me to read and understand compared to the KJV and the Tongan Bibles I have. It truly has been a blessing to me."
I wanted to meet some of the people who have
come to Christ through the radio ministry

This family was very happy to get their free Bible
And to thank some of our very faithful local supporters.
  • We met lots of people - they even came up in the street to thank us for the radio ministry

  • We gave away Bibles to new believers who speak English

  • We attended feasts, including one arranged by Setita - remember her testimony from the prison?
    [ watch her video ]
Atiola uses her Bible and phone to encourage radio listeners
  • We attended a 68th birthday party for a special lady in a wheel chair who spends hours by her radio ready to phone  listeners with prayer and Scriptures of encouragement

  • We prayed for workers in shops and taught a Bible study in a government department
Charlie raps and dances to illustrate his Bible message
  • Charlie spoke from the Scriptures at Tonga High School. Then he rapped the main points of his message while doing a hip-hop dance. The kids went wild !!!

3 short testimonies that say it all

I wrote them down because of the way they moved me when I heard them.
  • "All the years ago everybody in Tonga always talked about the church, but now because of the radio,
all Tonga talks about Sisu Kalaisi (Jesus Christ)."

  • "We always get lots of religious people coming here to talk about their church and tell us what we should be doing, but these people from the letio (radio) are somehow totally different."

  • "When I hear people like myself talk on the radio about what Sisu has done, some things just happen inside of me and I wanted to have that from Sisu too."
They illustrate how God is using the ministry you and I have given to and prayed for so much over the years.
Praise You Jesus!
Thanks to you,
"all Tonga talks about Sisu Kalaisi"

I know we are in tough times, but we must keep pushing on  with what God has given us to do.

For God is not unjust to forget your work and
labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints,
and do minister.
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish,
but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
(Hebrews 6:10-12)
