Proverbs 3:1-7

1. My son,
do not forget my law,

But let your heart keep
my commands;

2. For length of days
and long life

And peace
they will add to you.

3. Let not mercy
and truth forsake you;

Bind them around
your neck,

Write them on the
tablet of your heart,

4. And so find favor
and high esteem

In the sight of God
and man.

5. Trust in the LORD
with all your heart,

And lean not on your
own understanding;

6. In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct
your paths.

7. Do not be wise in
your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and
depart from evil.

(Proverbs 3:1-7 NKJV)

Greetings!
I cannot tell you the joy I get when I hear stories from the Islands about the unexpected ways the Lord uses our people.
Here's a story from the Solomon Islands that shows
the Lord's favor on our workers

Charles Barkley Ratu, is one of our leadersCharles Barkley Ratu is aleader of Gud Nius Redio, Honiara
at Gud Nius Redio in Honiara. [ meet Charlie ]

He told me the Solomon Islands Ministry of Health had organized a radio production workshop to train its people in how to make professional quality health programs for radio.
They had planned to use senior journalists from the government's media department to do the training.

Then, after organizing the training they learned that the government's senior training officer would not be available.

What do do?
Well, Steve Alufurai heard about the problem.Steve Alufurai with his Video camera
(Steve is also a leader of our Gud Nius ministry. He filmed and produced the Scripture Vibration music DVD that is so popular in the Islands and does much of the governments video production work.)
[ meet Steve ]
Steve volunteered Gud Nius Redio
to do the training for the Ministry of Health

Andrew Tahisi is in charge of program Andrew Tahisi is a leader of Gud Nius Redio in Honiara
production and is also on the leadership team. So the Ministry of Health invited Andrew to lead the training in audio production and radio editing. [ meet Andrew ]

Charlie said the government staff were very surprised to get their training from the Christian radio station. (I'm not surprised they were surprised - most of our people are part-time volunteers without any previous radio experience!)

The Ministry of Health must have been very pleased with the training.
They appointed Andrew
to take charge of their future radio training
and production of health radio programs!

We praise the Lord
for the gifted people
He has brought into our ministry in the Islands.

As Charlie said in his email, "This is God showing His super abundant blessing to be made manifested into its Ministry and we can see the trend of more opportunities that are on the way as we remain faithful to the gifts and talents he's given us."
Graham Carter Amen Charlie!
As I read your email
I thought of Proverbs 3:1-7
(read it in the panel on left).

It tells us why God is able
to grant us favor and use us
in unexpected ways like this.
