Greetings!

When you think of Papua New Guinea, you probably think of primitive, tribal people in remote jungle villages. And you probably think of missions.

I think of missions too. But not some westerner disappearing into the jungle with the Gospel. I think of sending teams of local people (especially young people) into the areas wher they have the language and missions as on a perhaps hope you like the new "Tok Tok." I think it's a little easier to read and more interesting.

That's exactly what it like in most of PNG.

I'll be honest with you. There is such a great need for Christian radio in the Islands, that I want to make you as excited as I am about it. So, the more interesting I can make Tok Tok, the more likely you are to read it; and to email it on to a friend; and to pray about it.

That way the Lord can put it into the hearts of even more people to become involved in His great plan - Helping South Pacific people disciple their islands by radio!

MUSIC VIDEO - A TRIBUTE TO VICTIMS
Steve Lord Plis Sore lo me
(Lord have mercy on me)
Steve Alufurai from Gud Nius Redio, Solomon Islands, sent me a Music Video he's produced. He writes, "It's a musical tribute by The Riti's to their people of Choisuel and Western Province who were affected by the earthquake and tsunami. The Riti family live in the devastated area . . ."

Even though not in English, the song is very anointed!
You will be blessed too, if you watch it.

And the video demonstrates the amazing technical and musical abilities of the Solomon Island people. (Steve did the camera and post production work himself.)  .

SOLOMON ISLANDS
Gizo New radio station in Gizo
Following the visit from the medical response team, we are now working towards planting a new Christian radio station in Gizo (Western Province) the centre of the disaster area.

The Solomons government confirms a final death toll of 52, with 36,588 people badly effected and 6299 homes destroyed or unliveable. Many people are still in fear of more tremors and big waves. (It's worth taking a look at the doctor's pictures if you haven't already seen them.)

HCJB Global has offered us USD $15,000 (NZD $20,000 / AUD $18,000) which we estimate is half the cost of establishing the new station in this remote area (most of the cost will be for freight, travel, and site expenses).

HCJB supporters in New Zealand have also donated 200 solar powered portable radios for us to place into villages to receive the new station.

It's such as Tina (station manager of Gud Nius Redio, Honiara) says in her report after being with the medical team ". . . You know Graham while traveling in those boats it just showed me how vastly scattered we are. To send people out to those areas with God's Word will be a very expensive exercise.
I thank God that we have a radio station who will soon be able to reach those remote areas
. . ."

Read the rest of Tina's report

I'll email you as soon as we have worked out a budget and plan for setting up the new station.

"Finally, dear brothers and sisters, I ask you to pray for us.
Pray first that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and
be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.
"
(2 Thessalonians 3:1)

God bless you.
Thank you for your faithful Partnership in prayer and finance.
