I have always found September the month to get going on things that I want to do but were put on hold while the kids were home over the summer.  Maybe you are the same.  Now is a great time to start an exercise program, whether in a class or one on one.  Check out our class schedule to see what fits into your schedule.  Read below how you can save by bringing your lunch to work or school.  Try out the Turkey wrap recipe for lunch.

Save Calories, Money, Gas - Bring Your Lunch!

With today's economy, everyone is buckling down on spending.  Why not save on your gas, your money and your calories by bringing your lunch to work.

 

Going out for lunch can be expensive. I met someone for lunch the other day and it cost me $10 for a sandwich and a bottle of water. Not to mention the gas it took for me to get there. If you don't have to go out for lunch bring yours with you.

 

I know you don't want to have to make your lunch, but the 5-10 minutes it takes could be that $10 dollars in your pocket. It can even be fun. You get the satisfaction of deciding exactly what you want and how you want it prepared.

Introducing FFI "Body Bucks", a new client referral program where your "Body Bucks" are as good as cash for services at Fitting Fitness InTM.

 

For example, if you have a new client referral in September you may use your Body Bucks towards October's service or you may accumulate them up to the value of $100 before you use them.

 

Below is the monetary breakdown of how to earn those "BODY BUCKS":

Get ready to race for fitness & fun!  Fitting Fitness In™ is sponsoring the Littleton Road Race once again!

FFI will hold a pre-race training session on Sept 19 at 6pm on the race course to give you the confidence that you CAN do this race.

2pm - 1 mile Fun Run (all ages welcome)
2:30pm - 5K Race (walkers welcome, too)

When registering, mention that you're registering with Team FFI. Please give Holly your T-shirt size by Sept 15 and you will receive a FFI T-shirt to wear on race day! Register online or registration forms are available at the FFI studio.

 

Turkey Wrap

 ~ This delicious wrap sandwich is great for a supportive snack or lunch! ~

 

Turkey Wrap

 

To make it ahead, or 'to-go', pack the tomato and cucumber separately and add them to the sandwich right before eating.

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 4 large whole-wheat tortillas
  • 1 small head romaine lettuce, washed & patted dry
  • 3/4 pound sliced turkey breast
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 Kirby cucumbers
  • 1/2 C pesto (store bought) 

Preparation

  1. In the center of each tortilla, layer some lettuce, turkey, tomatoes, cucumber.
  2. Spread the pesto over the top & roll like a burrito.

Nutrition Information

4 servings, Serving size:  1 wrap

per serving: 255 calories, 24g protein, 26g carbohydrates, 4g total fat, 41mg cholesterol, 711mg sodium, 5g fiber
