Weather Too Warm to Exercise?

Workout in the Water!

Water Running When the weather is so hot, it is difficult to exercise outside without over heating.  Therefore, it is time to take your workout into the water.

Whether you're in a pool or in a lake you can get a good workout.

My favorite thing is to do Water Running.

Use a floatation belt around your waist, in the deep end.
Run like you would on the road or treadmill.
Be careful you don't lean too far forward. You want to remain in the same upright position as you would if you were running on land.
If you have water dumbbells use those for your upper body and push the water back and forth as you run.
Or you could use web water gloves.

The water gives you 14 times more resistance than on land.  You can work up a sweat without feeling like your overheating.

You can also do lunges and squats in the shallow end of the pool.  Most exercises you do on land you can do in the water without any equipment.

There is less stress on your joints in the water.  And you will feel like you got a good workout.
