I would like to thank everyone who voted for my video on IdeaFit.com. My video on how I inspire clients to Health and Fitness came in sixth place out of 52 personal trainer videos. Your support is greatly appreciated!
If you're getting sick of the same old BBQ food, you'll love this month's recipe for grilled veggie pizza. It was served at Fitting Fitness In's recent company cookout and was a big hit - the kids liked it too! With all the fresh veggies available it's a delicious, healthy alternative to burgers and hot dogs.
A great way to stay in shape is walking/running. Included below is information on Maynard's 11th Annual Road Race. Fitting Fitness In will be doing a training for the Road Race so sign up today to support the Boys and Girls Club. |

Indulge! Summer Treats That Seem Decadent But Aren't
So much of summer means BBQs and seasonal foods. While some temptations are best to resist, here are some others that are okay to indulge in!
1. Fudgcicles and Creamcicles. Weight Watchers and Popsicle brands both offer tasty and low-cal treats. Who knew? And popsicles are perfect for those who like fruit flavors. You can even make some of your own from seasonal berries.
2. Cotton Candy. Yes, it's nothing but sugar, but when you're at the amusement park, it is a better option than fried dough.
3. Frozen Yogurt. Most ice cream stands offer soft-serve frozen yogurt in fun flavors that are so good, you'd swear you were eating ice cream. Frozen yogurt has fewer calories and less fat, yet it counts to your daily calcium requirement.
4. Strawberry Shortcake. Who says strawberry shortcake has to be loaded with calories? While this dessert isn't calorie-free, angel food cake is the perfect alternative to shortcake, and you can sweeten the strawberries with Splenda. Not into strawberries? Substitute with other seasonal berries, such as blueberries.
