Prayer

Bishop's Prayer

A Simple Prayer of Commitment:

Come Holy Spirit; fill me so that I can: Dedicate my heart to Christ Jesus, open my mind to seek truth and justice, lift up my hands to welcome the outcast and care for the borken, behold with my eyes the wonders of creation, hear with my ears the story of God in the world, and sing with my lips a song of God's love - with laughter and without worry.  And always in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Dr. Robert Radtke visits Hawai'i

Radtke

Dr. Robert Radtke, President of Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD), will be in Hawai'i over the next few days visiting several congregations in Hawai'i.  He will be here to talk about the important work that the organization is doing around the world.

The Diocese is especialy grateful to have him here for the first Sunday in Lent, February 26, that is also recognized as Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday.  Radtke will be on the island of Kaua'i visiting congregations there on that day.

"This special Sunday is an opportunity for congregations to connect to Episcopal Relief & Development and its mission," said Radtke.  "As a compassionate response of the Episcopal Church to suffering worldwide, the organization seeks to empower local communities to overcome poverty, hunger, disaster and disease, build up the Body of Christ, and express Christian solidarity with our global brothers and sisters.  Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday is an occasion for all Episcopalians to consider how they can make a positive impact in the lives of others, through supporting life-giving programs and advocating for social justice within the Church."
