A Message from Bishop Robert L. Fitzpatrick

To the members of the Diocese of Hawaii:

It is with deep sadness that I must inform you that the Reverend Saimone Tupouto'a Lino, age 46, Canon Missioner for Pacific Islander Ministry and frequent supply Priest in many congregations, died unexpectedly of heart failure on Sunday afternoon, January 8. 

Saimone's widow, Fane, and their family have decided that the wake will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Church, 720 North King Street, Honolulu, beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing throughout the night. A Requiem Mass with the Burial Office will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Church. No flowers please. All are welcome. Notes of condolence can be sent in care of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church, 720 N. King St., Honolulu, HI 96817.

Please remember Fane and their children -- Anaseini (age 19), Viliami (age 18) and Joshua (age 13), in your prayers.

And please also remember Saimone in your prayers....

O God, who hast made thy servant Saimone to flourish among the Ministers of Apostolic Succession in the honourable office of a Priest:  grant, we beseech thee, that he may also be joined with them in perpetual fellowship.  Through thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Rest eternal grant him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.  May he rest in peace. Amen.
