Official Louisiana Bicentennial Poster

Greetings!

The Louisiana Bicentennial Commission and the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts (GRFA) are pleased to announce the official poster to commemorate Louisiana's two-hundredth year as a state!

Katie Atkins, a junior at St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette, LA, created the original work entitled "What We're Made Of" and collaborated with George Rodrigue to make the final Bicentennial poster.

The Louisiana Bicentennial Commission selected Katie's artwork through the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts' annual scholarship art contest.

    Posters are $19.95 and will be sold across the state at Louisiana Bicentennial events and are available online.

    Proceeds from sales will benefit the commission's education programs and help to increase awareness for the Bicentennial.

    George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts (GRFA) Summer Art Camp is designed to inspire students to create and develop their own unique artistic style while exposing them to a wide variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional media.

    Classes available for ages 3 - 17 in June and July

    The Three Amigos

    Is your favorite non-profit having a fundraiser or silent auction soon?

    GRFA allows charities to purchase a signed Rodrigue Blue Dog silkscreen print for $500 .

    As part of this unique program, if the print you purchase does not provide your organization with funds exceeding the original $500 investment, GRFA will accept the print's return and refund the $500.
