stratford building del marThis important City Council meeting will include review and public comment on key municipal code amendments regarding downtown revitalization that may impact your business.  The possible amendments include the following:

  • Establishment of an allowance for blade signs extending over sidewalk areas located in a public right-of-way
  • Establishment of a process and standards of review for Common, Shared and Off-Site Parking Permits
  • Establishment of a set of Horizontal Zoning Regulations for the downtown
  • Establishment of Minimum Employee Work Space Area requirements for downtown businesses
  • Establishment of an In-Lieu Parking Program as an option for satisfying a portion of a project's off-street parking requirements
  • Modification of existing parking requirements to allow for the reduction in the number of parking spaces, where modification is required to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) parking space requirements

According to the Sheriffs' Department there has been an increase in "Smash and Grabs" involving cash thefts from registers and/or tip containers of local retailers and professional businesses. 

The Sheriff's Department Needs your Help!

  • Do not keep large amounts of cash in registers
  • Remove all cash from premises after business hours
  • Increase the number of bank deposits throughout the day
  • Be observant to any suspicious activity
Call the Sheriff's Department if you see anything suspicious
