July 8th, 6pm Del Mar Planning Commission Agenda to include Review of Amendments to Del Mar Municipal Code Del Mar TV Studio (Behind City Hall/10th Street)
This Del Mar Planning Commission Meeting will include review and public discussion regarding amendments to key municipal codes to help the revitalization effort in the downtown. These possible amendments to the downtown regulations include:
1) Creating an allowance for specified business Blade signs to extend over a public right-of way (amended Section 30.84.075); 2) Modification of the review process and standards of review for applications for Common, Shared and Off-site Parking Permits (amended Sections 30.80.130, .140 and .150); 3) Establishment of a set of Horizontal Zoning Regulations for the CC Zone (amended Chapter 30.22); 4) Establishment of a minimum employee work area space requirement; (new Section 30.22.085); 5) Establishment of an In-lieu program as an option for satisfying a portion of a project's off-street parking requirements (new Section 30.80.170); 6) Creation of an allowance for modification of existing parking areas so as to meet ADA accessible parking space requirements (new Section 30.22.085); and 7) Modification of the allowable density for residential development as an allowed accessory use(s) in the CC Zone (amended DMMC Section 30.22.050, new Section, 30.22.051).
The Planning Commission's action will include recommendations to the City Council on each of the described Code Amendment proposals.
