In late 2007, a public goal was announced for the $1 billion Campaign for Virginia Tech: Invent the Future. This campaign promises to propel Virginia Tech into the forefront of the nation's leading research universities. This is a very exciting time in Virginia Tech's history. The Office of University Development at Virginia Tech is seeking a Web Editor (Posting #081206) The successful candidate will join a collaborative team in creating content for all development publications (print and electronic), and will play a lead role in developing, organizing, and structuring content for university development web sites. The Web Editor will oversee the department's web production with the university's content management system, as well as manage ongoing growth and refinement of unit's web presence and capacity. Responsibilities also will include ongoing assessment of unit websites for technical and aesthetic qualities, as well as traffic/click through rates; evaluating site usability with clients and audiences; and assisting in creation of specialty websites.
