The Empowered You
Finding Your Path of Service August 2009
Dear CSI Friend -
Welcome to the new and improved newsletter for Chris Sopa International! As some of you already know, I have been in the process of writing my first book, "The Empowered You," for the majority of this year.  The process of writing has been one that has not only transformed me, but my business as well.  That is why this month, you will get a sneak-peak into some of the content of "The Empowered You."  Each newsletter (whose title now reflects my book title) will have a topic from a chapter of the book as well as some new information you have not seen in my newsletter before.  You will see book recommendations, crystal recommendations, affirmations and spotlights of companies living into the topic for that particular issue.  (All of this, by the way, is how each chapter of my book is formatted!).

I hope you enjoy the new format and better yet become inspired by it's content.

How to Find Your Path of Service

"The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."    Eleanor Roosevelt

I am a firm believer in divine purpose.  I believe we all have a specific, unique task that only we came here to do.  The question many ask is, "how do I find out what it is I am supposed to do?"  Many I work with, including myself at one point in my life, feel as if there is something they should be doing that they are not.  That is your divine path of service calling.

Although this may sound a little esoteric to some who are reading this, I also believe that we scripted certain aspects of our lives, including what our path of service will be while we are here at this time.  We have, in a sense, a "sacred contract" that we created which includes certain people, things, events and circumstances that give us clues as to what our path may be.  Before we came here, unfortunately, the task was to forget all of the clues we left for ourselves in order to embrace fully the discovery process of who we are.  We scripted many roads to choose from to reach our final destination.  Which road we choose dictates how long and how difficult it will be to discover our unique gift.  That is human will at its best.

What I learned along the way of discovering my path was certain "red flags" along the road that give us a hint that a clue is in front of us.

·         Pay attention to significant events in your life - We all have been faced with events in our lives that we may label as "bad" that, once we reflect back on them, were actually blessings in disguise.  I came to find my path of service through a chronic illness that almost took my life.  Pay attention to what is going on around you and look at it "symbolically" rather than "literally."  What could be the reason for the event?  Why is the event happening now?  How does the event make you feel?  What thoughts constantly arise in your head while dealing with the event?  These are all clues as to the deeper meaning of what is happening.

·         Pay attention to the people you meet and when you meet them - Did you ever notice that people come in and out of your life at just the right time?  These people are in our "soul family."  They have volunteered to enter your life at a certain point to help you find your "clues."  Do not dismiss them.  Especially if they have caused you pain.  Our friends who have caused us the most pain are our greatest teachers.  These are the ones who love us enough to play the "bad guy."  When you notice someone has entered or exited your life suddenly, ask yourself, how do they make me feel?  What was going on in my life when they came in and what did I learn from my encounter with them?  You will never view people the same again.

·         Pay attention to how you feel when you are doing certain tasks - When we are working close to our path of service, we have the feeling of "no time."  We all have experienced this at some point.  You know, when you are doing something and time just flies by?  What we do naturally well and what we enjoy doing are called our strengths.  This is a clue as to one of your unique gifts.  Our feelings are our gauge as to if we are on the right path or not.  They act as our guidance system.  If you're feeling good doing something, keep doing it.  If you are NOT feeling good doing something, stop, pause and change what you are doing.  What ignites your passion?  What is it you do that when you do it you lose the sense of time?  How do you feel working in your current path of service you have chosen? (Maybe you've already found it!)

·         Live with a sense of non-attachment - We may have a clue as to what our path of service is or we may even have an idea of what we want it to be.  Regardless, keep an open mind.  Do not get stuck on one idea and one way of that idea manifesting.  Those who are helping us along our path have a much better and much more expansive perspective than we do down here.  Get rid of your should's, forget about money (yes, I said forget about money), and trust the contract you created for yourself.  You created it from a much higher perspective than you have now and it was created to manifest your highest good.  Allow it to unfold.   Remember, "If you do what you love, money will follow" (Oprah Winfrey).

"Your life lies underneath your life situation."   Eckhart Tolle

Crystal Recommendations
gems
When many people think of crystals, they think of jewelry (which I love by the way!).  Crystals have been used for healing and manifesting since the beginning of time.

How do they work?  Our Mother Earth is a live, vibrating being.  She is made up of many minerals that when age over time, crystallize into what we know as gemstones and crystals.  Depending on where they are found and when they are extracted from the Earth, each crystal vibrates at a certain frequency.  Because we are energy beings, we vibrate as well.  Each illness has a specific vibration, each feeling, each person.  When we hold a crystal of a certain vibration, because our bodies are always trying to find balance, we begin to resonate with the vibration of that crystal.

How do you use crystals?  You can carry them with you for the day, put them on your desk, sleep with them under your pillow, meditate while holding them or place them on certain parts of your body.

Below are certain crystals that vibrate to the resonance of finding your path of service:
Charoite - activates your latent inner knowledge
Papagoite- resonates with the Akashic records which hold information about our soul purpose
Libyan Gold Tektite- stimulates deep insight into the origins of situations in one's life
Adamite- helpful in achieving one's heart's desires
Chrysanthemum Stone- activates your dormant capacities

New Workshops:

Transforming Performance in Times of Change:

Many companies have never witnessed the changes and turmoils going on in their industries as they are today.  Layoffs, furloughs, bankruptcies and high stress have all lead to a decrease in performance company-wide.  Decisions are being made based on fear, not vision.  In this workshop, companies and their employees will begin to understand what it takes in these times to increase performance and have a motivated staff once again by identifying unique opportunities that this change is presenting, taking a fresh look at their short and long-term goals, identifying the culture-gaps in the organization and taking the temperature of how the company communicates with it's stakeholders.

Finding Purpose in Change:

We have all heard the old adage that "everything happens for a reason."  These challenging times we are facing give us the opportunity to look at our lives, our roles and our society and make some much needed changes.  This "new economy" is shining a spotlight on the areas of your life and your company that need to be transformed and probably have needed to be transformed for quite some time.  In this workshop, you will begin to see your life, personally and professionally, in a new light.  By identifying the lessons that can be learned from the change, transformation can take place; a new vision can be created and a new attitude can be claimed.
