Making the most of limited budgets
Employee awards given in the form of cash or vouchers may leave employees feeling undervalued and the loss in revenue associated with unredeemed gift vouchers is eliminated with tangible awards. A choice of non-monetary gifts is an excellent option when companies have a limited or reduced budget for employee recognition.
BIK Tax Exemption Under the Benefit in Kind tax exemption, companies are allowed to give employees one gift per year up to the value of €250 without incurring PAYE & PRSI. This treatment does not apply to cash benefits.
Long Service Awards Tax Exemption There is a tax exemption on long service awards (20 year or more service) as long as the award takes the form of a tangible gift or gifts. This treatment does not apply to to cash, vouchers or bonus bonds.

RewardNet offers an effective, hassle-free solution for employee recognition. Employee reward programs are customised on a dedicated webpage with your company logo, personalised message and pre-agreed gift selection. Employess are issued with unique user names and passwords to access their reward programs and select their gifts online.
RewardNet Points System
The new RewardNet Points System allows employees to choose one or number gifts on their reward scheme to the total value of their points allocation. With this system employees can accumulate points for various achievement throughout the year and cash in their points at the end of the year on one or a number of gifts.
The Points System is ideal for companies that wish to avail of the generous tax free exemptions on Long Service Awards when the awards take the form of tangible gifts. The system allows employees to choose one or a number of gifts from a selection of approximately 20 pre-agreed gifts with various points values. So, an employee can select a Citizen Watch and a Canon Camera and maybe something else that they fancy.
There is no monetary value associated with the gifts and employees are choosing gifts that they will cherish and associate with your company. There is very little administration required by Human Resources due to the online system and we monitor and manage the entire process from distributing unique user names and passwords to procuring and delivering the selected gifts.
