Greetings!
Hello From The Big E:

Kelly & Judi from the Back Room at The Big E
A Video Hello!
We are in our final week here at The Big E Thanyou to everyone who participated! This is an important event, not only for the state and tourism industry, but for NHGSA too.

Each time you volunteer for one of our special events you are giving to our organization through your service hours. Whether The Big E or Farm & Forest, Rock'n Ribfest, Pumpkin Festival or other "official" GSA Special Events, your service earns us donations to keep our organization going.

We know GSAs love to support our mission of "meeting and exceeding the informational needs our guest and residents of the State of New Hampshire through in-depth training and active participation of our certified Ambassadors"  -- so we have begun working with other businesses and organization to help support NHGSA through volunteer service, our citizenship and our love for New Hampshire. Here are some of the new partnership we are developing:
  • Dynamic Events Worldwide - Meeting Registration Staffing
  • Merrimack Premium Outlets - Special Event Services
  • Business NH Magazine/Events NH - Wrapping Booth at the NH for the Holidays Expo
  • Live Free or Die Alliance - Conducting Candidate Surveys
Many of you have already signed up for our wrapping booth and service at our newest special event NH For The Holidays. Our next opportunity is a very new type of opportunity, but it fits in with our NH Primary mind-set. We are working with the Live Free or Die Alliance (many of you became familiar with them during our NH Primary Training program). They will be donating to NHGSA based on the number of surveys that are completed. So all you political junkies... here is your chance to "Give Through Service". Read about this new opportunity below and let me know if you are interested!

Again, THANK YOU for your service to NHGSA & NH
Judi

Give Through Service - The Live Free or Die Alliance Candidate Questionnaire
By Anna Brown, LFDA
The nonpartisan live
Free or Die Alliance provides - via its website (www.livefreeordiealliance.com) -objective information on NH issues, legislation, and political candidates. The LFDA's mission is to separate fact from opinion, and present the pros and cons of various solutions. In the tradition of the New England Town Hall, the LFDA is a powerful tool that connects NH citizens to their legislators, offering links to government officials and committees as well as instructions for communicating with NH government officials effectively. The LFDA is partner of the Granite State Ambassadors.

A Letter from Our Big E Celebrity Volunteers
By Anne Marie & Dick Hatin
We wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to be "Celebrity Volunteers" at The Big E. We both enjoyed it so much and had lots of fun working the booth and talking about our crafts. It was a blast and we would recommend it to everyone. Dick has already received emails and Facebook contacts from people who met him at the Big E, and I had so many comments about my quilting and got to explain how it can be a relaxing hobby and is not difficult. I had a few people that were going to check on getting classes to learn. Many people were interested in the quilt shops in NH. Everyone knew about Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor but were not aware of all the smaller shops just over the border. I even had a quilt instructor stop and talk to me and praise my work. What a high!!! Thanks for the opportunity.

Join me as I host this tour exploring the beautiful fall season with a short hike from Benedictine Park through Van Loan Preserve in Bedford. This hike is near my childhood home (and still home of my parents). Bring a picnic basket to swap... We are going to have a lunch swap... so make something extra special! - Also during the hike we will have the opportunity to write something in the hidden diary (if you can find it).It is a rated 4 tour because we will be hiking in the wood on dirt trails... but I will say... it is not a hard hike, it is a walk and talk hike. -- Your Tour Host, Judi
