Greetings!

I was cold last night!! I WAS COLD LAST NIGHT! This is a really big deal -- I've been hot flashing up a storm and haven't been able to sleep well with the heat (and the heat). I got a solid 8 hours last night and I'm feeling good! Thank goodness for a clear head today. We've been working with the Division of Travel and Tourism and the state's brochure distributors to organize and get the giant trucks full of brochures packed up for the NH Tourism Booth at the Big E. Wednesday and Thursday next week, if you need us, we'll be on our cell phones... hauling boxes and boxes and even more boxes into our hidey-hole closet in Springfield MA. Remind me to grab that bottle of Advil for the trip!
I'm one of the official on-site managers this year so I'll be there a lot. Sign up and come visit me (Nathan & Judi too)!!!

INVITATION TO ATTEND - OPEN TO ALL GSAs

The Hillsborough NH Historical Society would like to invite all NH GSA's to be their guests at the Hillsborough Living History Event New Hampshire on August 18th and 19th 2012. Held on four historic sites, this event has received visitors from all over New Hampshire, New England, the Northeast and as far west as Missouri and as far south at Florida. Day in the Life of a Granite State Ambassador
By: Nathan Pasquale, Training & Operations Manager

Last week Judi told me that she was having a meeting at the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce to discuss the possibility of staffing the Dover Train Station. Checking my schedule I realized that it was on my way to the SpringHill Suites tour so I decided to accompany her before heading into Manchester.

Two-Minute Chat with Nathan

This week Nathan sits down with the two Sues, Sue Geyer and Sue Greenbaum to talk about their experience at the Big E. As veterans at the Big E they discuss what to expect and what volunteering such a large event!
August 3rd, NHGSA Two Minute Chat
August 3rd, NHGSA Two Minute Chat

Stay tuned for part two of this chat were we discuss the behind the scenes aspects of the Big E.

NH Visitor Center News - Rewarding Shifts

Tickled Pink = Valuable Public Service at our State Welcome Centers
By Moe Demers, Comfort Inn Airport Class 2011

My wife Elaine and I had quite a shift at Hooksett North last Friday. From 9:00am to 12:05pm we logged 107 ticks! [Helped 107 guests for you non-GSAs reading this post]  My French came in very very handy.  One Canadian after another dropped by on their way home, many of whom spoke minimal English.  It was a blast.
