Greetings!
I love summer! I have no idea why people leave NH to go on vacation. Talk about vacationing in your own backyard -- we've been playing hard within a half hour radius of our home. Last week we took in a couple movies, played mini golf, rode the Hobo Railroad, visited Chutters -- longest candy counter in the world (need I say more), hiked, swam.... This weekend I think we are planning on visiting our bear friends at Clark's Trading Post and exploring Lost River Gorge. Catch us if you can! ~Kel
New Event Volunteer Opportunity The Granite State Ambassadors have been asked to help with the new "New Hampshire for the Holidays" Event at the Radisson in Manchester on December 8-9th. This event will be a similar volunteer opportunity to the Made in NH Expo. Watch your newsletter for more details.

We have added two new outlet shopping perks!! The Tanger Outlet Center and the Merrimack Premium Outlets have both offered active GSAs a coupon book filled with savings. You can request one by showing your current GSA Membership Card at the respective Shopper Services offices each time you visit. Visit the GSA Perks page for more details.
Remember while Perks are great rewards for your service, they are also designed to be marketing tools for them. We encourage you to spread the word about your experience there via referrals, word-of-mouth, and through writing a couple paragraphs for us to publish in our blogs. Granite State Ambassador Summer Roundtable Manchester Chamber of Commerce
54 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03101 Monday, July 23, 2012, 1:00 PM Dessert & Coffee Served Parking - Hanover Street or Victory Garage on Amherst St. Please join us for a GSA Roundtable discussion and input from GSA's who serve and those who would like more information about volunteering at this downtown center. Discussions will include the Chamber's Downtown Committee report and their comments, the upgrades for the future, changes to the brochure organization, "Advantage" magazine, and the new Guide to Manchester. It is also an opportunity for your input and ideas.
Public tour offered for new Hampton Beach complex
Visitors who want a more in-depth look at the renovations at Hampton Beach State Park can take one of several tours being offered in the next two weeks. Park staff will be giving public tours of the new Seashell Complex on July 18 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The complex is part of a redevelopment project for the beach and includes new bathhouses, a visitors services building, offices and an oceanfront conference room. ** Those interested in joining the tour must make a reservation by emailing seacoastevents@dred.state.nh.us.
What have our GSAs been up to? GSA Board Member Kate Luszco was featured in a New Hampshire Charitable Foundation publication dated Summer 2012. Click to read the article in .pdf format.

GSA (not so) Two Minute Chat
After a long week of not so perfect weather, I decided to take a little road trip and head down the seacoast to explore some of the NH beaches.I talked to some of the experts on this, including Dave from Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Co., to find out whats going on during the summer months down on the sand in New Hampshire. In the end I had a great trip, so check out this video to see where I went.

Castle in the Clouds a Truly Majestic Summer Retreat
Submitted by Richard L. Hatin, Granite State Ambassador, League of NH Craftsmen, Class of 2012 On June 21, 2012, on what may well be the hottest day of 2012, twenty four GSA's stood up well under the heat and humidity while touring one of NH Lake's Region attractions. This tour brought our group of Ambassadors to the Castle in the Clouds which is located in Moultonboro, NH. The Castle in the Clouds is managed by the Castle Preservation Society, which is an independent non-profit tasked with the preservation and restoration of the historic building estate.
