Greetings!

Yipee -- IT'S JULY! Last week I took my Girl Scout Troop to Weirs Beach to play. Watch for my upcoming blog about our trip. Spoiler alert: it was awesome!! We played all day at Logs-of-Fun; Daytona Fun Park & Kellerhaus. I highly recommend you find some kids and get on up there. It's what summer fun is all about.
What else have I been doing with my summer so far? I spent the day out on Squam Lake with friends on their boat over the weekend. We cruised the lake, stopped off on Church Island, went to the Eagle's island, parked in a cove to swim, barbeque and relax... As my daughter would say... "Best day ever!"
I love summer!

Day in the Life of a GSA Blog

by: Lloyd Farnham, GSA Shaker Table Class 2005

Saturday, June 23, 2012, was a beautiful day on Lake Winnipesaukee, a setting which honored our
special GSA Judy Greer.  Relatives, friends and individuals from all over the country came to honor Judy and memorialize this woman who was so loved by everyone and also by her fellow GSAs.   The service was at Elllacoya State Park (three miles from her home on the lake) where everyone celebrated Judy's life. She was so special to each of us in individual ways.  What a lady...and GSA!!

A Trip to Indian Head Resort
By: Moe & Elaine Demers

Elaine and I just got back from the 2nd of our two get-aways at Indian Head Resort in Lincoln.  We each qualified for the perquisite.

To sum it up, the Indian Head Resort is an ideal all-inclusive resort for families on a budget.  Accommodations range from quaint 2 room cabins with fireplace to upscale hotel rooms with a private balcony and lake view.  Your room comes with the use of heated indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, sauna, game room, exercise room, shuffleboard, paddle boats, play gym set, and a stocked trout pond.  There is a walking trail around the pond.

A Tour through the White Mountains

By: Vicki Hentschel

We met the New England Coach and our driver, Don Leonard, at Polar Caves Park at 8:30 Monday morning, June 18, 2012, ready to begin the White Mountain Attractions Educational Tour.  GSA's, Marge & Ray Fraser, Paul & Vicki Hentschel, Kathryn Segreti, Mary Ann Rupert, and Hanni Gartland, as well as 16 representatives from other agencies, made up White Mountain Mikey's Synchronized Touring Team.  First stop being Polar Caves, we were on it!  Under overcast skies, we met  Rob Arey and his dog, Polar, and were soon climbing through the caves.
