Greetings!

I had such a great time on the Shakedown Cruise this year. It was so wonderful to catch up with all of you that were able to attend... and the weather... Wow!

Special thanks Kirk M for taking the photo for us; thanks to Moe D for the loan of his camera and thank you to Jan M for inviting GSAs back to her lakefront home for a lunch break!

I want you to know that I was not productive at all after the cruise. I was busy, but wasn't able to cross anything off my 'to-do' list. I just wanted to go back to the lake and relax in the sunshine. Click here to read my blog article on the cruise & check out our photos!

Judi wasn't able to make the cruise because she was at Nathan's final presentation for his internship. I heard he nailed it -- nice going Nathan! On yet another social media platform, Nathan is compiling a collection of his work on "Scoop.it!"  Below is his overview. When you are done reading the newsletter, take a peek at his Scoop.it! page.

The New Hampshire primaries feel like yesterday, it's hard to believe that was when I first started interning for the NHGSA. I still remember the first day, I was a bit nervous and kind of shy, Judi came into the Radisson with her usual bubbly energetic attitude, and then it began. As we set up Judi asked me "so one of your goals is public speaking, would you like to speak today."

Last week a large group of New Hampshire visitor center folks ventured south to Salem, Massachusetts to the New England Visitor Center Association Conference. Judi, Nathan and I presented the opening workshop, "Staffing your Visitor Center with Added Value." It was so much fun!! I felt like a rock star - GSAs and their dedication were the hot topic and we were referenced in more than one other workshop (in a super-cool envious kind of way!). Tom Malafronte (another GSA) of the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport also was on hand to present on "Customer Service from a Business Point of View." Before we headed home on Friday, our friends at Woodman's of Essex fed us the largest, yummiest lobster rolls I have EVER seen! I'm pretty sure I was drooling but everyone was kind enough not to point it out to me.

Here is a great parting shot of Charlene C, Richard R and Judi W!  Love you guys!

Click here to read Judi's blog article on the conference.

I am so proud to be a GSA & really, really love my job!

~Kel

P.S. Hope to see you all at The Ambies Awards Luncheon on June 7th! We are at the 'last call' phase of the nominations.

What a great meeting!  Thanks go out to Moe D, Phyllis G, Howard G, Patty M, Jean Mc, Jan M, Marge T, Vivian V, and Judi W for taking time out of their busy days to hear the happenings at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport with Director Mark Brewer, Assistant Director Tom Malafronte, and myself.  Our  provide much needed feedback on what our customer's are saying about us!

The airport team provided updates on airline service changes, upcoming airline meetings, the upcoming roll-out of the airport's new website and a mobile app. (insert happy dance here),  as well as a briefing on the solar project currently under construction on the top level of the parking garage.

New Hampshire Welcomes Japanese Visitors
by Stephanie Seacord, Historian & GSA, St. Mary's Bank / America's Credit Union Class 2008

New Hampshire welcomes Japanese visitors from the inaugural Japan Air Lines flight arriving in Boston on Sunday, April 22nd. The Boston CVB expects that the new direct-flight service from Narita International Airport in Tokyo will boost Japanese visitors by 20% -- that's from 70,000 to 84,000 per year!

GSA Recommendations When Visiting NH Blog

The New Hampshire Aviation Historical Society's Museum is a real gem. The museum building is the original 1937 terminal building which was moved across the air field by the historical society. As you walk into the building, there's bright sky from the window above. Then you are surrounded by murals, pictures and articles about aviation people from NH. Once past the Welcome Desk, there is a passage way into the addition which houses most of the collection.

Warmly greeting you are the volunteers just waiting to take you on a walk through this interesting collection of models, simulators, planes/plane parts and aviation memorabilia. They have a simulator that allows you to see what the bombers in WWII used to locate their targets. Imagine trying to use this equipment while bouncing through the air with all the action of an air battle in progress?
