NHGSAs Celebrate an Old-Fashioned Christmas
 | They stuffed this tree into a 7' x 10" box right before our eyes! | For our annual holiday celebration, the New Hampshire Granite State Ambassadors visited The Rocks Estate in Bethlehem, NH. Our journey began in Londonderry when the first group of NHGSAs boarded the Concord Coach bus headed North. After quick stops in Concord and Plymouth, the holiday bus arrived at The Rocks Estate, already dusted with a light dusting of snow. And what a lovely location to enjoy a little holiday spirit!
The Rocks Estate is a historical homestead originally belonging to John Jacob Glessner and his family. Currently, the property is operated as a conservation and education center that is owned and operated by The Forest Society. When the lands and remaining buildings were donated to The Forest Society, no endowment was included so The Rocks Estate had to develop a means of income to sustain itself. One of the main means of sustenance is their cultivation of Christmas trees. The Rocks Estate offers three different types of fir trees because they keep the needles the longest and are less susceptible to various harm sources.
