September 30, 2011

Greetings!

We're busy getting ready for our CZT seminar next month and a nearby "Arts in Common" event (tomorrow!) that we are participating in (see below), so we'll have to wait til next month to share a new tangle.

But in the meantime, we just received these from our grandsons and thought you would enjoy them.

We'll see you next month when we'll have a chance to share some of the excitement and creativity that always comes from a seminar.

Best,

Rick and Maria

Grandsons Tangle

Rick and I are blessed to have five amazing grandchildren. Two of our grandsons have taken a new interest in Zentangle. You may remember Wyatt from when we blogged about teaching his second grade class last year.

Well, now his little brother, Ramsey, has shown (shone?) us his passion for tangling.

When I can, I try to spend some time with the boys, mostly cooking and carting them from one sport to another. But lately I have been sneaking in little Zentangle sessions at the kitchen table, showing them real simple tangles and one maybe a bit more challenging.

I was pleasantly surprised when their mom (Martha) called and said the boys were tangling at night and before school in the morning. Wyatt even created some ZIAs (Zentangle inspired artwork) on "Shrinky Dink" paper with some astonishing results.

And here is Ramsey, sneaking in some tangle time with a tiny book light after everyone thought he was asleep!
