BLOG Zentangle

As Rose commented while our blog was dormant:
"Can't wait till this blog is in full bloom... there are so many things I can't wait to see and discuss... so many questions and how to's that I can't seem to understand. Hopefully soon!"
Well, Rose, if you're reading this . . .

BLOG Zentangle is now active!

Blogging is a wonderful tool and it's time we put it to good use. We can
  • Discuss questions so everyone benefits and can join the conversation
  • Share tools and techniques for Zentangle
  • Talk about Zentangle insights, stories and metaphors
  • Post newsletter and website topics for indepth discussions
  • Post and discuss Zentangles
But you know all that.

What do you want to talk about? What are your questions, inspirations, passions, comments?

If you have a Zentangle blog, tell us and we'll add you to our blogroll.

We are learning this as we go. We invite your comments and suggestions as we explore all Blogger's neat tools, toys and settings.

We are enthusiastically anticipating this new facet of our Zentangle adventure with you. Thank you all for making this possible and so much fun!

Our blog is here.

M writes from Tasmania:
Thank you so much for sending my Zentangle kit. I have been creating tangles every day, so absorbed sometimes I forget to eat! What a joy, it's my new passion. I just want to show everyone I know how to create such special little pieces of art.

Please find attached my 1st ensemble which I just finished.

Cheers. Thanks again.

I writes from Canada:
The Zentangle box my daughter sent to me arrived this morning and I love it. I must also say thank you to Maria for the lovely card that came with it, that is definitely a keeper. I watched the DVD and then took my courage in both hands, grabbed up a tile and did one up. I have been doing my version in an artist sketch book for several weeks but this was so much fun. Long way to go but it is so nice to have an art form that does not have mistakes attached to it. Thank you very much.

L from Southwest USA sent us this beautiful chalk drawing:

Wow.

I mean - just - WOW.

Awesome newsletter, friends - truly inspiring!!!!!

I've been a knitting fool since November of 09, but am once again integrating Zentangles and z-tiling into my life. I plan to do another thousand tiles by the end of 2010. Right now I am tucking completed tiles into swap packets for various knitting swaps - several people have asked me about them and I've been pointing folks to your site with rave reviews! Your work with this art form has truly been a wonderful thing for me - keep on keeping on!!! I'd love love LOVE to attend a teacher training!!

Much love to you both, and have a tremendous weekend!

MaryAnn Scheblein-Dawson, CZT, sent us this amazing calendar that her student, ML, created:

Jella Verelst, CZT, from Belgium writes:
Some of my latest Zentangles are on my flickr site.
Do take a look at these. Also, here's her web site.

We receive so many amazing images and stories. To share them all here would make these newsletters much too large. That's another reason we're so excited about bringing BLOG Zentangle to life.

We look forward to sharing and talking with you there.
