Greetings!

Lots of news, announcements and special treats in this issue.

Enjoy!

Great Gnus!

Zentangle Gnu Raises Most Money!
In an earlier newsletter, we wrote about the Gnus of New London, New Hampshire. Many groups participated and created a herd of decorated gnus.

Zentangle artists at the NH Womens' Caucus for Art created this Zentangle "Tatoo Gnu."

Recently, all the gnus were auctioned and the Zentangle Gnu raised the most money - over $6,000.

Congratulations to the New Hampshire chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art!

Zentangle CZT in Belgian Press

Jella Verelst is a Certified Zentangle Teacher in Belgium.

Recently, a Belgian paper published an excellent and insightful piece about Jella (pronounced "Yella") and her work with Zentangle. Its title is, "In Real Life, There Is No Eraser Either."

Please take a moment to read Jella's translation on our website. It's a great article.

Jella's website is here.

More States and Countries with CZTs

Upon completion of our recent CZT Seminar, we now have Certifed Zentangle Teachers in five countries . . .
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • China
  • Scotland
  • United States
and 22 states in the U.S.

Please see our list and contact a CZT in your area to be part of a Zentangle Workshop.

Attending a Zentangle Workshop can greatly expand your enjoyment of Zentangle.

Here's a great new tangle inspired by a carpet pattern at a recent Zentangle workshop. Try it, you'll love it!

You may also notice how these patterns nest fractally within one another. It's a beautiful tangle. Thanks Molly!

Zentangle and World Cafe

Rick and Maria have been invited to present Zentangle as a key component of a community conversation at Alternatives in Whitinsville on November 7, 2009.

afe
This will be a World Cafe event facilitated by Samantha Tan, who just last month facilitated a conversation with key world personalities in Vancouver, B.C.

To learn more about this full day event at Alternatives, go here.

Time is 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. $60 with limited scholarships available. Our Zentangle component will be approximately 60 to 90 minutes long.

We are excited and honored to contribute a non-verbal component to this well-known and popular group discussion process.

Once again, thank you all for being part of this wonderful adventure with us.

See you soon.

Best regards,

Rick and Maria
