August 2008

This month, we have a great Hibred tangle, important updates on upcoming events and a wonderful quote.

Zentangle Teacher Training
We are thrilled with your response to our Zentangle teacher training program. Already, people from America, Canada and as far away as Europe are planning to attend.

Expect an update with registration details in September. Participation will be limited, so please let us know if you plan to come so we can hold a place for you until our formal registrations go out.

Mark your calendar to reserve February 24 - 27, 2009. This will be a magical and uplifting event for us all. We are looking forward to our time together. Lots of pictures and more info on what to expect in our recent Training Newsletter.

Please forward this information to your friends and online groups that might be interested.

Here's a new tangle that's a mix of curved and straight lines as well as a mix of other patterns and techniques. You can "ride" this pattern in many directions.
We call it . . .

Zentangle Exhibit at Alternatives
There's a change to our opening date for the public exhibition of Maria's Zentangles. Our opening is now Friday, 5-8 PM, October 3, 2008. It will be held at Alternatives, a restored local mill that serves our community in many ways. Our exhibit will run through November.

We will offer two Zentangle workshops during this exhibit on Wednesday evenings, October 22 and October 29 from 7 - 9 PM. There will be an admission fee. Register for a workshop by calling Alternatives at 508-234-6232.

There will be no admission charged at our opening reception. If you can come by, we'd love to meet you.

Artists . . .

All children are born artists. The problem is to remain an artist as we grow up.
- Pablo Picasso

We believe that Zentangle is a wonderful way to help retain, regain and rejuvenate that artist which is in us all.

Thank you for sharing this newsletter and Zentangle with your friends and your groups.

We look forward to meeting many of you soon.

Best regards,

Rick and Maria
