Some of you may know that I have a special interest in children with special needs, learning disabilities and educational options.
13 years ago, my husband Carl and I founded the Mill Valley Coalition for Children with Special Needs and our son, Alex, was the catalyst for that endeavor. As a result, we established, along with our school district, the Tam Valley Elementary School Learning Center. It was a saving grace for our son then and it is still functioning and serving our community's LD and special needs students today and so many parents have shared their gratitude and relief.

This book eases parents fears, uncertainties and doubts and addresses that deepest most hidden yearning every parent with a child with needs nurtures: Will our children ever be able to live on their own?
