| Strategic Planning Progress
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The strategic planning committee, made up of Nick Horvath, Marston Black, Lynn Yonally, Zach Stevenson and Ed Stemmler, presented a high level review of the Planning process and Plan last night at the Annual Meeting. The process, which incorporated suggestions from the Planning Survey and input from a number of constituents, will continue into the new year.
The committee will be drafting a document which will be distributed to the active Guild members and selected members of the community. This document is targeted for release by January 10, 2008. The committee strongly encourages members to read and submit comments by January 24. The committee will begin writing the final draft on January 31 and submit the plan to the Board for review in early February. We expect that the Board will approve and endorse the plan at the February board meeting on Feb 20.
The committee strongly reminded the audience that their participation was needed, both for reviewing the plan and ultimately helping to implement the plan.
Weekend Work
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pat Flynn and Gina Pickton led the work party last weekend to assemble the winter cover. Pat reported getting half the structure up. Pat also has been gathering information about a variety of projects for this winter.
This weekend, Dec 1/2, will bring a return to the cover work. Deb Peretz is foreman on Saturday and Marcus Brandt on Sunday. Hands are need to ensure that this cover be finished as soon as possible.
Robin Schimpf will lead the work on Dec 8. The foremen list is being expanded to achieve complete coverage of every weekend through uprigging and sail season. Pat Flynn is still compiling the list of skilled workers willing to take on woodworking projects this winter.
In addition, due to Nick Horvath's injury, Deb Peretz has been named as the rigging leader, in charge of a variety of wire projects and running rig replacement.

| Email Archives
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The web site has been tweaked a bit recently. The dated events/news page has been altered to provide for a past events link and just have current information. A link for publications has been added to that branch of the site, and archived copies of the recent Small Stuff and Weekly Updates will be listed therein.
The web managers will be working on additional improvements with the guidance of Sarah Waters.
