About Carolyn Hartfield

Carolyn Hartfield - white blouse

We hike the first Saturday of every month unless (very rarely) posted otherwise. Our hikers are all ages, from youth to seniors. Carolyn is founder of Hartfield's Hikers, Older People with Active Lifestyles (OPALs), Hartfield's Healthy Haven and organizer of the  Atlanta African American Adventurers (AAAA) MeetUp.

Additionally, we partner with other organizations and groups to offer you a broad range of fun and enjoyable outdoor activities.

We simply ask you to make note of the length of the hike and the rating for the level of difficulty.  Our hiking pace is as fast as the slowest person...no need to feel pressured.  We enjoy nature and the company of each other as we hike the beautiful trails.

Hike Leader Carolyn and Paulette, who is the Sweep (the person in the back to ensure no one is left behind) are certified Outings Leaders with the Sierra Club and certified in Wilderness First Aid.  They hike as a team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the hikers.

Carolyn is available for speaking engagements on practical ways to improve your current state of health and well being.  She loves speaking to Baby Boomers on how to 'Live Your Life to the Fullest!!! Having very recently celebrated her 63rd birthday, she isn't slowing down but rather picking up her pace.  Carolyn's profession is Integrated Marketing Specialist where she specializes in online email marketing, events marketing and survey/polls development as a 5-year plus business partner with Constant Contact.

Her weekly radio show 'OPALs' (Older People with Active Lifestyles) every Wednesday morning at 6:00 a.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com/opals is temporarily suspended.
