Membership Dues
Invoices will be issued in October

Please remember that invoices for membership dues are sent in mid-October for the following year (2009).  Payment is due by January 31.

In addition to your dues, the invoice also has a line item for scholarship donations and the 10% hospitality development donation.  Both of these accounts are VITAL to our organization.  The scholarship account is totally funded by these donations and all money goes directly to the scholarship funds.  The hospitality development fund is used to fund our buses and other expenses related to Lunch on the Lawn.  Please note as the cost of gas has risen so have our expenses for that day.

If you have questions, please contact Catherine or Martha.

Legislative BBQ a Big Success!

The first-ever GCHMA Legislative BBQ was greatly attended by elected officials and Association members. Tom Sponseller, President of the Hospitality Association of SC, said, "The event provided an opportunity to connect one on one in a social environment which will make attending Hospitality Day at the Statehouse more personal for all involved."  The BBQ was the result of last year's GCHMA Board of Directors' retreat as a way for Association members to see elected officials prior to the spring event in Columbia.

Special thanks to the following: Pearlstine Distributors, Oooh Events, Bluestone Ramblers, Holiday Inn Charleston Airport, Coastal Cigars and the staff of the Legare Waring House and Charles Towne Landing State Park.

In attendance: Representatives Floyd Breeland (retired),Chip Limehouse, David Mack, Wallace Scarborough and Leon Stavrinakis; Representatives-elect Mike Sottile and Tim Scott; Senators Paul Campbell, Chip Campsen, Larry Grooms and Glenn McConnell; Kathy Crawford, Cong.
