I don't watch the news.

I know a lot of people feel as if they need to stay informed.  That's fine, but I prefer to take a different approach.

The news is almost always a major downer, and I think it's in my best interests to feel good and be happy as much of the time as I can.  And anyway, if something really important happens, someone always lets me know.

So, if it's a choice between cataloguing all the problems in the world and doing something that actually brightens up my day, I say Bring Me Sunshine!
