 Why Are We Currently Out of Cape Cod IPA at the brewery?

What's with these $5 refills?
To err is human, and we made a mistake. A hop substitution made to batch #930 of Cape Cod IPA has resulted in a beer that we do not believe meets our quality control and consistency standards for sale as Cape Cod IPA. Our commitment to quality and consistency of our products restricts us from selling this beer as Cape Cod IPA, but also leaves us without IPA for sale.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this sudden IPA outage might cause for our retail customers. The resulting beer, Batch 930, is a perfectly drinkable beer. It slightly resembles our IPA, but lacks the upfront bite that our IPA typically has.
We will be selling Batch 930 at a discount ($5 refill/$10 new fill) until we have Cape Cod IPA back in stock. We expect to have Cape Cod IPA back in stock at the brewery on January 17th.
Rest assured that none of this beer was sold as Cape Cod IPA, so that beer you find out in the marketplace, on tap and in growlers, is indeed Cape Cod IPA. Batch 930 will only be available at the brewery and only until Cape Cod IPA is back on tap.
