While things tend to settle down a bit right after Labor Day, we here at Cape Cod Beer find ourselves still very busy with events and fall seasonal brews.  We've tried to compile a list through October in into early November for you...so you don't miss a thing!

Fourth Annual Bocce Festival Saturday to Benefit the Samaritans on Cape Cod

The Samaritans on Cape Cod and the Islands hope to roll up $6,000 in fundraising to go towards their programing needs this weekend with their fourth annual Upper Cape Bocce Festival.

Twenty-six teams of four will take to the fields at Falmouth Academy  on Saturday Afternoon (with a Sunday raindate) to compete in the Italian lawn bowling game. The event raised $5,000 last year, and organizers expect even more support this year.  Registration Info Here

OKTOBERFEST ~ CAPE COD STYLE!

This is a brand new event ~ and hopefully~ an annual one at that!

When: Saturday October 1st ~ Noon to 5pm 

Where: Chatham VFW ~ 150 George Ryder Road, Chatham MA
Cost:  $12 if tickets are purchased in ADVANCE

$15 at the door.  Admission includes ONE $3 food or beer ticket.  Additional tickets available @ $3 each. Kids under 8 are free!

Proceeds from the event go to support scholarship funds and charities supported by the Chatham VFW Men's Auxiliary and the Kiwanis Club of Central Cape Cod.

Beer Lovers for Book Covers ... to benefit West Falmouth Library

The West Falmouth Library Community Events Committee is excited to be hosting the library's first beer tasting event, "Beer Lovers for Book Covers". With the sponsorship by Cape Cod Beer and the help of local caterer, Chef Roland and other businesses, this fundraising event is one you won't want to miss.

Please plan to join us on Saturday, October 1 from 3 to 6 pm under the tent in Jane's Memorial Garden at the library to sample five of Cape Cod Beer's special brands served with complimentary foods provided by local restaurants and caterers. Tickets will be available at the library beginning Sept.1 and are $30 each. Please have a valid ID when purchasing.

"Beer Lovers for Book Covers" will also feature a silent auction which includes a ½ day fishing charter with Machaca Charters of Falmouth, raffles and music to enjoy.

Volunteers for this event are encouraged to sign up now at the library. Sign up and bring a friend to help out at this fun-filled afternoon.

Join us at this social and educational event. Cape Cod Beer President/Brewmaster Todd Marcus will discuss their sustainable business practices, the chemistry used in crafting their beer and their committment to keeping it local.

 Last Sunday 370 riders rode from Sandwich to Ptown as part of the 20th Annual LAST GASP!

Cape Cod Beer fielded a team of 47 riders who raised approx $35,000!  Kudos to all who rode! Click the gear logo above to see more pictures from this GREAT DAY!

TRASH BASH 2011

We're BIG FANS of the folks at Nauset Disposal, so when they asked us to help them with their annual TRASH BASH...we said SURE!  Proceeds benefit the Cape & Islands United Way,  and CCYP.  Bring something for the Curb Hunger/AM VETS food pantry too!
