END OF AUGUST 2011

Greetings!

While Summer appears to be coming to an end, you'd never know it by our calednar.  So here's all the latest news from Cape Cod Beer including a recap on our BEER BASH, info about IRENE, and upcoming beer releases!

IRENE and BREWERY HOURS

What you Need to Know...
So the general concensus around here is that we should all be well prepared for IRENE...even if she ends up like last years' EARL.  So the bottom line for brewery hours is this: Once it gets close to being dangerous for our own employees to be on the road driving home, we will CLOSE.   If we have to close early we will post it on Facebook and our website..but given that we close on Saturday at 2pm and do not open again until Monday at Noon, we assume most of the storm will be over by then.

If there is significant damage during the storm, please call before you come here.  We will not open the brewery until our employees have gotten their own homes and families settled and can get here.  Again, this may all pass like a simple storm, or not, but we plan to be prepared.

And as a bit of levity, we have to pass on a great graphic posted orginally by our friends at House of Bud's:

LAST GASP BEER BASH RECAP

WOW! What a Bash!
Thanks to everyone who made the LAST GASP BEER BASH a major success!  Together we raised $21,000 for 7 local charities!  YUP!  $21k!  That's amazing...AND twice as much as last year!

We could not have done it without help from You.. and many others including: THE BREW CREW, the teams, riders, the beneficiaries, and generous business donors like the XGRILL, Nauset Disposal, Boars Head, & Saga Cheese.

Now it's on to the BIG RIDE!  At last calculation Team Cape Cod Beer has committed $38,000 to the ride (not including any of the BASH money)  Another WOW! It's not to late to donate!

Below is our first attempt at a TEAM CAPE COD BEER photo and while we look well represented, only about HALF the team is actually there.  With 49 riders on Team Cape Cod Beer a whole team photo may have to wait for the day of the ride!

If you would like to donate please click here or drop a few bucks in the fishbowl at the brewery... If you would like to ride please email here ASAP.

Thanks again for helping us support our local community!

FALL MEANS OKTOBERFEST!
SAVE THE DATE ~ Saturday October 1st!

This year we have committed to hosting an Oktoberfest with the Chatham VFW, the Men's Auxilary, and Kiwanis of Central Cape Cod.

It will be held at the Chatham VFW on October 1st.  We will be serving up 5 different brands, including our german style Harvest Ale and our award winning Dunkel Weizen!

Cost to get in is $12 and that includes one $3 drink or food ticket.  And music by the Cape Cod Bavarian Band!  More details as we get them!

Prosit!

Here's to Irene fizzling out long before she gets here!  Stay safe this weekend!

Sincerely,

Todd Marcus, Brewmaster
