One Busy October Weekend in 2008 
Greetings!

Greetings from Cape Cod Beer & Happy Fall!
 
So if you are anything like us here at Cape Cod Beer you are in a bit of denial about some of the stuff going on in the world: the economy - the debates and upcoming elections - the Red Sox - the Patriots...need I go on?  But in an effort to find the silver lining, lets look at the highlights:
  1. It was A GREAT summer for MOST businesses, including Cape Cod Beer!
  2. We have more beers on Tap RIGHT NOW than at any other time in Cape Cod Beer's History (isn't that something to celebrate?)   5.. count em ....FIVE
  3. There's ALOT going on this time a year! And lots of it is free!
  4. Saturday Night Live has never been better! Don't you think?
  5. Did I mention we had 5 DIFFERENT beers available?

Ok maybe we're reaching a bit on things to be excited about - but well its no fun crying in our beers!  Hang in there - we'll all get through this - together!

A special Happy Anniversary shout out to Chris Meyer - who has been with Cape Cod Beer officially for ONE YEAR!  and a Happy 49th Wedding Anniversary to "Big Jim" (also known as Beth's Dad), who is frequently seen slaving away at the growler filling counter, and Beth's Mom, Barbara, who writes the neatest growler caps in Cape Cod Beer's 4 1/2 year history.  Congrats!

Shop Main Street Hyannis This Saturday! 

Many of you know that we here at Cape Cod Beer feel strongly the EVERY DAY should be SHOP LOCAL DAY!  But if you can't shop local every day - at least shop local on Shop Local Day!  Saturday October 18th!
 
Hit Main Street Hyannis for some great deals, sales, promotions, raffles and to just show your support for local business!

While you won't find our beer at the festival itself you can certainly find it at these fine

British Classic Car Show
at Sweet Tomatoes - Osterville
 
Darren and his crew at Sweet Tomatoes look to be having fun this weekend, with samplers/flights of Cape Cod Beer, wine tastings, cupcakes (yum!) and British Cars!

BUY LOCAL
No  its not a coupon - but a reminder about how important it is to
BUY LOCAL - especially now!  If we all commit to buying local whenever possible then we'll all get through the off season.  Everyone knows that the off season is tough enough without the added challenges of the current economic situation.  So please, if you are going to shop - please shop local!  And if you are going to eat out, support restaurants that buy from local vendors!  That helps everyone!
