 Back in late spring we stashed away 50 gallons of Cape Cod Red in an Oak Bourbon Barrel with the hope of doing something fun with it over the summer. Well, things got busy and the beer aged on. The good news is that we finally found some time to bottle up a few bottles - just in time for Valentine's Day.
The result is a smooth, superb version of our Red that has tones of oak, vanilla and of course Bourbon. Yummy!
Starting Monday, February 11th, our barrel aged Red will be available - at the brewery only - in 750 ml champagne bottles only (no growlers/refills) - until supplies run out.
$12 per bottle - limit 2 per customer

| A Gift to Ourselves
We are happy to announce that 7 of our new tanks arrived this morning, and after some head scratching and phone calling, we have successfuly gotten all 7 off the truck and into the brewery. It was particularly fun given the lousy weather and the fact that all the tanks arrived laying down and inside a 40 foot enclosed container (making it impossible to side pick with the forklift). It took some creative rigging and some help from our friends at Shepley's (see right)... and we did learn that forklifts are not meant to be driven "off road". See more photos. |
